A foot long Steak, Egg and Cheese Omelet
By Franklyn Gallup of NationalDiscountHealth.net
One of my favorite things to have for breakfast is a Steak, Egg and Cheese Omelet at Subway. I like to order the foot long which is made on a whole wheat submarine roll. The steak is sliced thin and is really good. They add Eggs and Cheese and I always ask for Australian cheese just to see if they are paying attention. I then quickly change it to American Cheese and it is always fun to see them laugh a little. They toast the whole thing and then add lettuce, tomatoes and black olives. I always ask for them to add a couple $20 dollars bills as a topping but they always seem to be out of that topping. I have learned to buy the coffee to go with it before I go to Subway as they don't offer coffee at the Subways here. A soda just don't seem very breakfasty to me. I always make sure i have a good appetite when I order one as it will definitely fill you up. Often I take a picture of it just before I eat it so if I happen to do an article about it I have a great picture for the article. Sometimes just looking at the picture makes me hungry. |

I have been to Subway for lunch but I did not know they served breakfast. I will check it out.
That looks like a sandwich to me. Obviously an omelette where you live has noting to do with the brilliant breakfast and luncheon dish served all over Europe.

We have Omelets that probably resemble what you have in Europe however this is the closest this submarine sandwich restaurant comes to one. it does make a good breakfast and is prepared pretty fast as you watch.
Okay so I'm really mad at you right now. I'm so hungry and that the last thing I'm allowed to eat :( Had my gallbladder out recently so fatty foods are OFF the list for the moment - but boy does that look yummy! I too, did not know that subway did breakfast - I don't even see it on the website. Listen - have another one for me ok?

You'll be glad to hear it's now Beauty week on Qondio so I won't be doing food Intels for a little while now. Some Subway's do have breakfast and some don't. The ones that do serve it until 11:00AM. I think it's up to each Franchise owner whether it is offered or not. It does require opening earlier and having more employees but it is an option. I will have to add a picture of a gall bladder now to make you feel better ?:) Or would that be to help you lose your appetite?
You make me laugh - thanks!

Mission accomplished then. I always try to make someone laugh a little. Have you tried the Air Force Game yet?
It does sound good -- but oh my! Eggs, cheese and steak all at one meal. I can hear my physician yelling about my cholesterol already! LOl

I won't tell your physician if you don't.
Oh, my! You had my attention even before I saw the photo. I want one of those NOW! Is that on 9-grain bread? Rflol. OK, I'm going to the kitchen now to make my own omelette and I have a sun-ripened orange from my neighbor's tree to go with it.

You can have it on any kind of bread you want. I will warn you they don't have Australian cheese but you can ask them anyway just for laughs. You can also add all the toppings you would add to a regular sub.
Well have you lost any weight? Looks good!

I keep trying to lose it but it keeps finding me.
Doesn't sound like something I'd eat for breakfast since I usually start my day with fruits/fruit juices but - enjoy your food, no matter what time of the day you have something to eat... :)
Gee wilickers, if I consumed that much for breakfast I'd get real drowsy!

Well you can eat part of it for breakfast and save the rest for lunch.
No way. Think I'll stick to my diet thanks.
