Making a molehill out of a mountain
By Franklyn Gallup of WoodFloorist.com
I am sure you are familiar with the expression: He is making a mountain out of a molehill I refers to someone taking a small problem and making it into a HUGE problem. In Washington state we do things a little differently. We take mountains and turn them into molehills. See the pictures below. I saw these molehills as I was building a gazebo in Raymond, Washington. On closer examination I found out the moles had a pick axe and shovel. I then realized these weren't molehills at all. Someone was digging a drainage ditch for taking the water from the downspouts away from the foundation and keeping water out of the basement. I reflected on this for the rest of the day and thought how different a world we would live in if people focused on making HUGE problems in to smaller problems instead of making mountains out of molehills. |

My discovery of the Pick axe and shovel. I become suspicious.

When you find yourself in a ditch stop digging.
