Using creative pictures for SEO

A growing number of people are searching on Google and Yahoo for images. They might be doing a blog, website, email or other type of promotion and they need a quick, low resolution picture to illustrate what they are working on. Low resolution pictures are key to many applications because your visitor's browser will load the page or picture faster. If a page or picture takes too long to load many people will simply move on to a faster loading resource. I am always looking for funny and unusual pictures for this reason. Recently I saw two toilets out by the side of the road with a big Free sign between them. Evidently, someone was remodeling and rather than throw two perfectly good toilets in the landfill they made them available to anyone who could use them. I stopped and took the time to take a picture knowing that the application would come sometime in the future. I have a lot of such pictures and Google loves to index pictures. I offer these pictures on one of my websites for free, no copyright and am looking for people who would be willing to offer pictures on the same basis in exchange for a link to their website. Google offers plenty of images of old sheet music You need to check for copyright and you could use a small piece of the picture (cropping in Photoshop or similar program) You also might want to lighten the contrast to more of a watermark effect. Franklyn
