Wallpaper for websites DOES grow on trees

By Franklyn Gallup of Woodfloorist.com

While walking in the local park today I took some pictures of tree bark which had unusual textures. I do this to add to my library of free stock photography and offer it to anyone who needs some one of a kind background for a web page.

These pictures are free to use and are not copyrighted so you can use them anyway you want.

I recommend to my photography students and website students to take a lot of pictures so when the need arises for a picture they don't have to go searching for non copyrighted pictures. If they took them and they don't infringe trademarks or intellectual property they can use them any way they choose.

The trees I focused on today are large conifer trees. Often I simply tilt the camera to get diagonal lines in the picture. Since many of the trees I photographed today have moss growing on them they add color to the picture as well as texture.

I also use the macro setting on my camera for closeup photography as well. This makes very interesting images from the moss that is growing on the trees. Some of it is hanging from the trees which produces a nice effect too.

So enjoy the pictures I have included below and use them anyway you like. All the pictures were taken in low resolution so they are not huge files which would slow down how fast your website would open.

The resolution of the pics seems to have been shot perhaps due to format conversion, but using tree bark as texture is a clever idea.

I too like taking pictures for backgrounds. Of course here I take water and beach and pebbles mostly, lol. I too have been having difficulty seeing your photos, but I love the diagonal bark picture.

I am working on some new picture pages with all the pictures. I don't know why I am havng trouble with my pictures on Qondio. Something isn't compatible with th uploads. I never had problems before until just lately. I know it isn't my camera cause they look just fine on my website. Seminary Hill Pictures 01 I'll add more links when I have them finished.

Nice idea, but why not "branch" out into the whole plant world?
Sunflowers, rape seed flowers and so on.
We have a tree here in our garden in the South of France called the Aubritia.
It has, in season (summer) got the most wonderfull flowers.
They are like little white coronets, not petals but delicate gossamer upturned spicules.
Have not got any photos yet, but when I climb the 40' tree I may come up with some.

I once took my camera into a grocery store and took pictures of bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, pineapples and everything else including the trash cans for backgrounds. I found out later that it started a rumor that the grocery store was going to be sold and I was taking pictures for the new owners. LOL

Find any mushrooms?
